Rize / Artvin​

We synchronize the dances of ancient peoples, the energy of nature and the rhythm of our bodies, and this is good for us.

Day 1 Friday, May 16, 2025
We will start our trip by having a special welcome breakfast with our guests whom we welcomed from Rize-Artvin airport in the morning. After our breakfast, we will set off to settle in our accommodation in Aralık/Klaskur, a beautiful Georgian village in Artvin-Borçka. After settling in our accommodation and having tea and coffee, we will chat about Eastern Black Sea culture and dances in our meeting circle. We will start working on learning the horon steps with our dear teacher Levent Soy. After hours spent dancing and having fun, we will have dinner.

 

Day 2 Saturday, May 17, 2025
After having breakfast at our accommodation, we will continue our horon practices in the garden surrounded by nature. After lunch, we will have a trip to the uniquely beautiful Borçka-Karagöl nature park. After the free time where you can wander peacefully in nature, we will set up our horon circle once again on the shores of Karagöl, in the lap of nature. After the enjoyable time spent here, we will arrive at our accommodation to have our dinner. After dinner, we will continue an entertaining night with tulum, horon and atma folk song singing workshops.

 

Day 3 Sunday, May 18, 2024
After our breakfast at our accommodation, we will set off towards the natural wonder of Muratlı Village. The story and natural beauties of this unique village will of course be accompanied by our horon workshops. After our specially prepared lunch, we will continue our horon lessons. At the end of the day, we will have a very entertaining farewell night at our accommodation where we will perform the horon steps and songs we learned during the days we spent together.

Day 4 Monday, May 19, 2024
After our breakfast at our accommodation, we will say goodbye to our place and set off towards Kamilet Valley in Arhavi. Mençuna Waterfall will be waiting for us with all its glory. A unique natural area for both farewell dinner and horon
Kamilet Valley will take its place in your memories with horon cries mixed with the sound of the stream.

The welcome will be made by Goluri from Rize-Artvin airport in the early morning hours, and the farewell will be made by Goluri from Rize-Artvin airport at 18:00 and later.
